Navigating the world of data doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
At American Directions, we act as your “research sherpa,” leading you to the information you need and ensuring it’s presented in the way that works best for you.
At American Directions, we act as your “research sherpa,” leading you to the information you need and ensuring it’s presented in the way that works best for you.
Meet with your dedicated client service manager (CSM) to review existing materials, project scope and desired outcomes. Your CSM will serve as the hub for your project and make sure our programming, data processing, sampling and operation teams are coordinated for your research objective.
We’ll take the time to digest your project and help shape the research methodologies that will work best for you. From there, we’ll procure and develop the sampling frame to prepare for data collection.
We handle the programming, testing, and data collection based on your chosen modality. Our project managers collaborate with our call centers to ensure accurate data collection, performing checks throughout the process.
Leveraging generative AI, we streamline survey programming, automate basic validation, and conduct machine-based quality assurance before human review. Our four-layer quality control process includes machine testing, programmer testing, internal QA, and client validation, ensuring everything is flawless before fielding.
We ensure your data is delivered in a format that works for you—whether raw datasets for in-depth analysis or curated, ready-to-use dashboards for immediate insights.
Data Privacy
If the government trusts us, so can you.
American Directions is committed to protecting client confidentiality and adheres to strict ethical guidelines. We never release information without the express, written consent of our clients and follow the Insights Association Code of Ethics and the American Association of Public Opinion Research Code of Professional Ethics and Practices to ensure privacy. Data and deliverables are only shared with the client unless otherwise authorized.
We employ robust security measures, including firewalls, virus scanning and restricted access to confidential data.
We also provide mandatory IT security training to authorized IT staff and do not use contractors for tasks involving highly confidential information.
Access to confidential data is tightly controlled through role-based access and a “need-to-know” policy.
We manage access with unique usernames and passwords, and personnel handling sensitive data undergo additional security challenges. All network equipment, including routers and servers, is secured with unique logins.
We use SFTP with two-factor authentication for a secure data transfer.
This ensures an additional layer of protection when sending or receiving data.
American Directions prioritizes data security and the protection of recipients’ protected health information (PHI) and personally identifiable information (PII) through comprehensive policies and staff training. We ensure secure handling of both digital and hardcopy records, offering encrypted FTP sites for data transfer.
We handle health data extensively and are fully aware of the legal and ethical responsibilities involved in protecting human subjects and ensuring the confidentiality of personal health information.
All staff complete HIPAA training upon hire and annually, along with additional coursework in research ethics and IRB Human Subjects Protection requirements.
We frequently work with vulnerable populations, including the elderly, children, and military veterans, safeguarding their sensitive health data at all times.
